Common questions
Does using this calculator affect my credit score?
No. This calculator does not perform a credit check and does not submit any application. It uses the information you enter to estimate your approval likelihood based on the same logic lenders apply. Your Equifax credit score is not accessed or affected.
What credit score scale does this calculator use?
This is based on the Equifax scale. This is the main scoring system that unsecured lenders use in Australia. To get a copy of your credit score, please visit Equifax.com.au or click here for more information about credit scores.
What do the three outcome labels mean?
Strong likelihood means your profile passes all key thresholds and most lenders would progress your application. Possible — lender dependent means your application has a genuine chance but the outcome depends on finding the right lender for your specific combination of factors. Unlikely — needs improvement means one or more factors would result in a decline at most lenders right now — with specific improvements identified.
How accurate is the result?
The calculator uses the same classification rules described in the loan assessment guides — based on the actual thresholds most mainstream lenders apply in Australia. The result is indicative. Individual lenders assess applications differently and outcomes may vary. This is general information, not a guarantee or financial advice.
